- SELECTING A USERNAME and PASSWORD:
- Both the username and password you select must be between
4 and 10 characters each. If you enter more than 10 characters,
and you're wondering why you can't log in, it's because the system
will only accept 10 characters. Your username cannot be the same
as your password, and vice-versa. If a username you select is
already in use by another member, you will be notified and given
a chance to select another name. The word "Madonna"
will not be accepted as a password, as it is much too easy to
guess. A good idea for a password (that's easy to remember) is
the name of a friend's dog, street name, name of a friend, etc.
It is your responsibility to keep your account information private.

- PAYMENT:
- For your convenience, The Madonna Catalog accepts many different
payment methods, depending on where you live, including PayPal.
All payments must be in U.S. dollars. Foreign currency
mailed to me will not be returned to you, and memberships will
not be activated if paid in currency other than U.S. dollars.

- ACCOUNT ACTIVATION:
- All memberships completed via the online form and paid via
PayPal will be processed and activated as quickly as possible
after your payment is confirmed. In most cases, this is usually
within a few hours. If I am away from my computer (or maybe sleeping!)
when you sign up, I will activate your membership just as soon
as I can. Please be patient, and allow up to 24 hours in some
cases, for member activation. I hope to have it set up soon so
that member activation will be fully automatic and instant, but
I'm still working on that so please be patient! Plus I now have
a "real" full-time job, so I'm not at the computer
as much as I used to be.

- Memberships paid via "snail mail" will be activated
within 48 hours of the time your payment arrives in the mail,
so please be patient. I am not responsible for invalid
email addresses, full mailboxes, or your typographical errors
when processing your membership request. Please make sure everything
is complete and accurate before submitting an application. If
I send you an email and it gets returned to me because of an
invalid email address, blocked IP address, or because your mailbox
is full or over quota, I will not re-send the message, and you
will not receive a refund! So if you're expecting your account
to be active and you haven't heard from me, maybe it's because
I couldn't reach you - try logging in to your account again.

- PROBLEMS LOGGING IN:
- If you have problems logging in (assuming that your account
is active), it's most likely because the CAPS LOCK key is causing
the problem, or because you are trying to enter more than 10
characters for the username and/or password. Usernames and passwords
are both case-sensitive, so make sure you are entering them exactly
the same as when you signed up. For example, MadLover
is NOT the same as madlover. If you are still having problems
logging in, please check the site
outages page (for possible problems) or send me an email
and I will look into it for you.

- REFUNDS/CREDITS:
- Membership fees can not and will not be refunded (in whole
or part) once they are paid. The only exception to this is if
the web site should ever be permanently discontinued for any
reason, you may submit a written request to receive a pro-rated
refund, based on how much time is left in your membership.

- MERCHANDISE DISCOUNTS:
- Exclusive merchandise discounts for members are as follows:
5% off for semi-annual members, 10% off for 1-year and 2-year
members. Sorry, but NO discounts on "trial" or "lifetiime"
memberships. Discounts apply only for new orders of in-stock
items that are placed AFTER member fees have been paid, and may
not be applied to existing orders, past orders, or special orders.
Sorry, but no discounts on any items that are listed on the "new items page" at the
time your order is placed. Discounts are for merchandise only,
and can not be used toward shipping or shipping-related charges
(such as insurance or registered mail). It is your responsibility
to ASK for a discount if you are a member (there's room on my
online order form for this). I
will not automatically assume that you are a member, but if you
are a member and you request your appropriate discount, I will
verify that you are a member, and apply your discount. Maximum
discount on any one particular order is $50.00.

- FRAUDULENT ACCOUNT USE or ABUSE:
- I reserve the right to refuse membership, or cancel any membership
at any time, without warning, for any member who abuses their
membership privileges (i.e., sharing usernames and/or passwords
with any other persons). I use several methods to detect fraudulent
use of usernames and passwords, and violators will be dealt with
very seriously.

- TRIAL MEMBERSHIPS:
- Due to the nature of this membership, member fees can not
be refunded once they are paid. Therefore, if you are unsure
if you want a membership, I suggest signing up for a "trial"
membership first (it's only $2, and it's an inexpensive, commitment-free
way to the view the entire site for 3 days so you can decide
if you want to increase your membership level). There are plenty
of FREE PREVIEW PAGES to help you decide if a paying membership is right for you. Each person is entitled to sign up for a maximum of TWO trial memberships per calendar year. After two trial memberships, you must sign up for a recurring (monthly, semi-annual, annual, etc.) membership.

- SITE OUTAGES:
- In some very rare cases, the web site (or any portion of
it) may occasionally be unavailable due to a number of reasons
(web server problems, power outages, act of God, etc.). This
is unavoidable. If there is a significant site outage, I will
do my best to post it on the SITE
OUTAGES page. You may request a pro-rated refund of an outage
period ONLY IF the web site is completely unavailable for more
than 48 hours in one period. There will be no "automatic"
refunds - you must request a partial refund in writing, and I
must be able to verify that the site was unavailable for 48 hours
or more.

- MEMBERSHIP RENEWALS:
- "Trial" Memberships (regardless of how they are
paid) do not automatically renew themselves when the 3-day time
period runs out. All other membership levels paid via PayPal
(except "lifetime" memberships) will automatically
renew themselves at the same duration and rate as when you originally
signed up for your convenience. If your funding source (i.e.,
PayPal checking account) is not sufficient at the time of the
renewal, your account will automatically be disabled until payment
is confirmed. PayPal usually tries again a few days later if
there is a problem.

- MISCELLANEOUS:
- These terms of service and/or membership fees are subject
to changes and adjustments without notice. However, If there
is a significant change in the terms of service that could
affect your active membership, you will be notified via email

- QUESTIONS OR CONCERNS:
- If you have any further questions or concerns that aren't
covered in these terms of service, please email
me before signing up. If you do not receive a response, that
means that your question IS clearly answered somewhere in the
terms of service above, and I simply didn't have time to answer
your question, because it's already answered here. Please include
any information you think will help me answer your questions
in a timely manner (for example, what country you are in, etc.).
